Some important directors on the national film scene such as Pablo Berger, Sergio Castellitto, Javier Rebollo, Fernando Trueba, Juan Antonio Bayona and Eduard Cortés will be coming together once again at the San Sebastián Film Festival. The programme in the Official Selection for the 60th San Sebastián Film Festival will include four Spanish films that will be competing for the Golden Shell and another two out of competition.

Three other Spanish films will also be competing in the New Directors section for the Kutxa-New Directors Award, while another five will be screened in the Zabaltegi Specials section.

Zinemaldia director José Luis Rebordinos presented on Friday in Madrid the selection of Spanish films at the 60th edition of the San Sebastian film festival and highlighted four films that will be competing for the Golden Shell: Twice Born by Italian actor and director Sergio Castellitto starring Penélope Cruz; The Artist and the Model by Fernando Trueba; Blancanieves by Pablo Berger; and The Dead Man and Being Happy, by Javier Rebollo.

Two more Spanish films will be screened in the Official Selection but out of competition: The Impossible, by Juan Antonio Bayona (starring Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts; and Atraco, by Eduardo Cortés.
