Nonick, an international technology event held every year in Bilbao, announced on Tuesday the names of the 5 finalist projects in the Startup 2.0 competition.

The five finalists, that include Stereomood, Good Job, Askaro, Submate and Minube, were selected out of almost 100 European sites that took part in the Nonick competition. They will be presenting their projects in Bilbao on Friday for five minutes each before Nonick attendees vote to select the winner.

The first of the finalists, Stereomood, offers a way to suggest songs that follow your feelings. It is an emotional internet radio that provides music that best suits your mood and activities you can share with your friends.

Good Job is formed by users that want to know about the world of work through the voice of those who are part of it. In a completely anonymous way you can rate your company, relate your experience, compare it with others and find out which are the better places to work.

The next two startups require the location of the users to allow them to interact with other people. In Submate, you just have to write your subway trips to discover everything happening along your route: concerts, happy hours, restaurant reviews as well as cool new people, the familiar strangers you see every day.

In Askaro, you share information in your nearest field: the neighborhood or workplace. The idea is simple, you can ask a question about a specific location putting it on a map to see if someone who knows the area gives you an useful and objective answer.

The last of the finalists, Minube, is a travel community for travel lovers, which allows users to get inspiration to decide their next destinations, plan trips and share all their travel experiences.

The Startup 2.0 competition aims to promote and reward the European startups (either created or willing to do so in the future) that work in the field of social networking sites. This year, almost 100 European sites took part in the contest.
