El festival Azkena Rock de Vitoria-Gasteiz ha llegado a los 48 500 espectadores en sus tres días, una cifra ligeramente superior a los 48 000 del año pasado que eran su récord hasta ahora, según el cálculo de la organización.

Estas cifras confirman el relevo generacional, ya que los fieles siguen acudiendo al festival y en esta edición lo hacen más acompañados que nunca, pues se supera de nuevo la cifra de familias, que aumenta un 20 % respecto a la edición de 2022.

La puesta en marcha por primera vez del bono Gaztea, para jóvenes de 15 a 23 años, también ha tenido una buena acogida, siendo la asistencia de jóvenes el 18 % del público.

La cita del rock ha reunido a más de 15 nacionalidades, desde los países más cercanos como Francia, Portugal, Reino Unido, Italia y Alemania hasta Estados Unidos, Canadá, Finlandia, Suiza, Suecia y Holanda, entre otros.

El público nacional representa un 84 %, del que la mitad procede de Euskadi, seguida de Madrid, Cataluña, Navarra, Castilla y León, Valencia, Aragón, Galicia y La Rioja.

A pesar de la intensa lluvia que trató de intimidar a los y las asistentes durante la tarde, el festival terminó por todo lo alto, de la mano de Iggy Pop.
