Artzainak: Shepherds and Sheep, Javi Aitor Zubizarreta and Jacob Griswold''s documentary about the traditionally Basque, immigrant occupation of shepherding on the hills of Idaho, has been selected for the International Film Festival of Ireland (IFFI).

The IFFI comes under the umbrella of Amritsa, a company which organises film festivals the world over in a bid to bring new talent to the stage and screen.

Due to an exclusive relationship between the Amritsa festivals and the Internet Movie Database, IMDb.com, and as a direct consequence of its selection for the IFFI, Artzainak now has its own title page on the award-winning site.

This is not the first time Artzainak (distributed by Mailuki Films S.L.) has been selected for an award. Earlier this year, Javi received the Prince Grace Foundation''s Cary Grant Award, a scholarship aimed at film undergraduates.

Itwas thanks to the money Javi received via the scholarship that he wasable to pull out the stops for his latest production, a self-pennedshort fictional work entitled What Aitxitxe Said based on the story of his grandfather and starring his father and his brother Josu.

TheInternational Film Festival of Ireland, which will run betweenSeptember 1st and 9th 2011, is an intimate and locally-attended affair. It acts as a platform for fresh new talent in the spheres of film anddocumentary-making and could well mark the start of greater things tocome for Javi and Jacob.
