American punk rock band Green Day will play at next year's edition of Bilbao BBK Live which takes place this year between 11th and 13th July, the BBK Live organization confirmed on Tuesday.

The US band will play their only Spanish gig in 2013 at the Biscay capital's annual music event.

Green Day are the second headlining act confirmed by the organizers of 2013's Bilbao BBK Live after Depeche Mode were confirmed last month. The organizers also confirmed on Tuesday other bands such as Delorean, Two Door Cinema Club, Delorentos, We Are Standard and L.A.

Green Day has sold over 65 million records worldwide with 25 million in the US alone.The group has won five Grammy Awards: Best Alternative Album for Dookie,Best Rock Album for American Idiot, Record of the Year for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", Best Rock Album for the second time for 21st Century Breakdown andBest Musical Show Album for American Idiot: The Original Broadway Cast Recording.

Vouchers for the Bilbao BBK Live 2013 festival are on sale at a price of 85 euros (plus distribution costs(6 euros)) until next December 11th.
