San Sebastian makes repeat appearance in UK press

British daily newspaper The Guardian listed the Gipuzkoa capital among its rundown of inspiring short breaks within a section entitled 'Learn Something New'.

San Sebastian has once again made the travel pages of the UK press. In its weekend edition on Saturday January 15th, The Guardian published a feature entitled Inspiring Holiday for 2011, in which the Gipuzkoa capital featured under the title: ''Taste of the Basque Country''.

San Sebastian, no stranger to the travel pages of either the UK or US press, has made frequent appearances in the Guardian, Telegraph and New York Timesover recent years.

In 2010, the city made at least four appearances in the Guardian. On most occasions, reports focus on the city and its surrounding area as favourable destinations to spend short breaks, as well as enjoy the gastronomic treats it has to offer.

The paper''s latest feature on the city is no exception; in a short paragraph it makes reference to the city as "one of the great gastronomic capitals of Europe," as well as to "its Michelin-starred restaurants and pintxos, the country''s delicious take on tapas".

In particular, it mentions the company San Sebastian Food run by Donosti-based Brit Jon Warren who gave an interview with&' || 'nbsp; eitb.com last year. The section title ''Learn Something New'' is a reference to the culinary packages of pintxo tours and cookery lessons which are on offer.
