NY Times spends 36 hours in San Sebastian

The New York Times published an article on Thursday entitled ''36 hours in San Sebastian'', a step-by-step account of eleven places visited during a short stay in the Gipuzkoan capital.

Included in the list of activities is a visit to Santa Clara''s "phantom beach", the recently-reopened San Telmo Museum and dinner in the Kursaal''s Ni Neu restaurant, though as an alternative it also recommends "popular subterranean restaurant" Narru.

The paper also stopped off at the Basque Culinary Centre, where classes for "gastronomic enthusiasts" will shortly be available in English, it enthusiastically informs.

Other "musts", according to the daily, are a "txikiteo" tour round the bars of San Sebastian''s old quarter, dinner at the newly-vamped Mugaritz and lunch at Bogedón Alejandro.
