Spanish National Judge Grande-Marlaska ordered prison for lawyers Zulueta, Enparantza and Sarriegi, as well as Zuriarrain and Agirre, all accused of being envoys between ETA and its jailed members.
Spanish National Court Judge Fernando Grande-Marlaska on Monday night ordered that five of the people arrested last week be sent to prison: lawyers Arantza Zulueta, Jon Enparantza and Iker Sarriegi as well as ex-ETA prisoner Naia Zuriarrain and the ex-spokeswoman of the group Etxerat, Saioa Agirre, all stand accused of forming links between ETA and its imprisoned members.
The judge also ordered Juan María Juaregi, former member of the nationalist trade union LAB, and the engineer Asier Etxabe to pay bail fines of 30,000 and 12,000 Euros respectively, while on Monday morning he ordered that University professor Erramun Landa Mendibe, ex-member of ETA''s ''Barcelona commando'', José Luis Gallestegui, and former ETA member Domingo Aizpurua Aizpuru, be released.
More specifically, Marlaska ordered Landa Mendibe and Gallestegui Lagar to appear before the court on a periodic basis, while Aizpurua Aizpuru was discharged having been previously sentenced in France under the same charges.
Hideouts
According to Grande-Marlaska, a "cache" had been located at the office of condemned solicitor Jon Enparantza, which he shared with Iker Sarriegi, hidden in a hand-dryer and concealing more than twenty messages in "paper tubes wrapped in plastic and ready to send to ETA members currently serving sentences in France and Spain," as well as 9,400 Euros.
A court in France meanwhile on Monday decided to release David Plá Martín, who was arrested in Hendaye the previous Friday April 16th, accused of being the main contact for the three lawyers arrested on Wednesday, due to a lack of reasonable evidence.
