The film titled Artzainak (Shepherds and sheep) by Jacob Griswold and Javi Aitor Zubizarreta has been selected in the Culture Unplugged Film Festival (India)
Artzainak: Shepherds and Sheep, Javi Aitor Zubizarreta and Jacob Griswold''s documentary about the traditionally Basque, immigrant occupation of shepherding on the hills of Idaho, has been selected to take part India''s Culture Unplugged Film festival.
''Culture Unplugged'' is not just a name of a studio, it is a mission, a vision and aspiration to integrate disparate parts of the self and the global human society. It aims to achieve this, primarily by leveraging the power of new media and extending the effort to offline events and actions.
At present, Culture Unplugged efforts are focused on enabling networks of socially &' || 'amp; spiritually conscious content and its creators. With presence in India, USA, UK, Indonesia and New Zealand, the festival is dedicated to bring authentic/independent voices of diverse cultures to global audiences.
This is not the first time Artzainak (distributed by Mailuki Films S.L.) has been selected for an award or a film festival. In 2010, Javi Zubizarreta received the Prince Grace Foundation''s Cary Grant Award, a scholarship aimed at film undergraduates and was also selected for the International Film Festival of Ireland, the International Film Festival of Vinduero-Vindouro in Spain, the Clermont Short Film Market and the Antropofest International Film festival of Prague, Czech republic. .
It was thanks to the money Javi received via the scholarship that he was able to pull out the stops for his latest production, a self-penned short fictional work entitled What Aitxitxe Said based on the story of his grandfather and starring his father and his brother Josu.
