Artzainak: Shepherds and Sheep, Javi Aitor Zubizarreta and Jacob Griswold''s documentary about the traditionally Basque, immigrant occupation of shepherding on the hills of Idaho, will take part in the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market, which takes place from February 4th to 12th.

This is not the first time Artzainak (distributed by Mailuki Films S.L.) has been selected for an award or a film festival. Earlier this year, Javi Zubizarreta received the Prince Grace Foundation''s Cary Grant Award, a scholarship aimed at film undergraduates and was also selected for the International Film Festival of Ireland and the International Film Festival of Vinduero-Vindouro in Spain.

It was thanks to the money Javi received via the scholarship that he was able to pull out the stops for his latest production, a self-penned short fictional work entitled What Aitxitxe Said based on the story of his grandfather and starring his father and his brother Josu.

The Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market, which will run between February 4th and 12th 2011, is a favoured place of exchange between delegates from all branches of short film production worldwide. The 2010 edition brought together 272 film organisations, 126 exhibitors, 456 producers, 83 buyers, 93 distributors and 436 festival delegates.
